There is a possibility that at one of the upcoming Apple event, where Tim Cook walks up to the stage and showcases a new Apple Store, that he would be talking about a store in India. The news comes as little surprise given how aggressive Apple has been in trying to tap the Indian market, that they plan to open an exclusive Apple Retail Store in India. Several Apple Stores are already operating in India on behalf of the retail partners of Apple, but this would be the first store that would be an Apple Store, through and through worked upon by Apple. Apple is teaming up with Croma, a Tata lead retail store chain in India for bringing the official store up.
According to the reports, the store is set to feature the signature wooden tables and counters that have become synonymous with Apple Stores in the United States. To start with, Apple will open six Apple Stores in India and a large majority of them will be in Mumbai. Mumbai will have an Apple Store in Malad, Juhu, Oberoi Mall, Phoenix Mall and Ghatkopar while Bengaluru will be getting one store. Sadly, the other big metros like Delhi and Chennai will have to wait before they are on the shortlist. Apple will be training the staff of the store in line with the training given to the personnel working at the global stores.

According to the reports in media, Apple has sold over 1.7 million iPhones in India in the period from October 2014 to September 2015, making it one of the most important markets in South Eastern Asia region.
